ACU’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebunoluwa Oduwole, the institution’s first female VC, highlighted progress since her October 1, 2025, appointment.

Achievements include boosting spiritual activities, hosting faculty lectures and webinars, securing NUC accreditation for seven programmes, and proposing new courses such as Artificial Intelligence. Plans for a College of Health Sciences and collaboration with the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN) are also underway.

She emphasised efforts to enhance staff’s global visibility, optimise resources, and improve the learning environment, aiming to raise the university’s ranking, increase student enrollment, and foster academic excellence.

The convocation lecture is expected to stimulate critical discussion of knowledge, its evolution, and its implications for Africa’s future.
