Professor Timothy Adebayo, Vice Chancellor of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, has hailed the Mind Education Programme, integrated into the institution’s curriculum, for its positive impact.
“Mind Education has become so integral that it is now one of the three certificates awarded to students upon graduation, a testament to its perceived value and impact. I can confidently say that this programme has significantly improved the emotional intelligence of our students,” he said.
The Vice-Chancelloroutlined the programme’s reach and track record at a three-day Mind Education Camp, organised at the institution by Professor Ronke Ogunmakin, Dean of the Faculty of Education, and the South Korean Mind Educator Team. In a statement signed by the university and sent to PUNCH, the Vice-Chancellor said, “Mind Education is a transformative initiative that enables young people to re-evaluate and rediscover values that are essential for unity and peaceful co-existence.” Educators at the camp discussed the role of mind development in national development. Adebayo appreciated the South Korean team for their dedication and support for the institution. He also thanked Ogunmakin for her commitment and effort in coordinating the programme.
