The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved eight undergraduate and 19 postgraduate courses at Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State.
Addressing attendees at the institution’s 6th convocation ceremony and 20th anniversary, Prof Haruna Ayuba, the university’s Vice-Chancellor (VC), stated, “This has raised our total undergraduate programmes from 40 to 48 and our PG programmes from 40 to 59.”
Ayuba also announced the partnership between the university and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine to run a joint postgraduate degree programme.
“The collaboration provides an opportunity for both institutions to strengthen and enrich the academic and professional tutelage in the field of public health.”
The Vice-Chancellor stressed that the graduates will be issued a “Master of Science (MSc) in Public Health of Bingham University, articulated with a Master of Public Health (MPH) professional of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, United Kingdom.”
