Benson Idahosa University (BIU) hosted Michael Freeman, the Ambassador of the State of Israel
The Benson Idahosa University (BIU) has hosted Michael Freeman, the Ambassador of the State of Israel, at its 5th International Idea Leadership Exchange (ILIX). The event aims to connect ideas with local talent and enhance innovation and development.
At the event, Freeman revealed several global and cross-continental collaborations between Israel and the university, noting that they span different fields.
Some of the collaborations include greenhouse technology with the faculty of agriculture and agricultural technologies, solar energy with the faculty of engineering, and medical innovations with the faculty of allied health sciences and the college of medicine.
In his remarks to the students, Freeman said, “What you have is a dream. A dream that can change Nigeria and Africa.”
He encouraged the students to maximise the opportunities presented by the University-Israel collaboration.
