The National Civil Society Council of Nigeria (NCSCN) has endorsed the recent promotional examination conducted for staff of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) under the leadership of its Executive Vice Chairman, Dr Aminu Maida.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja following an independent review, NCSCN Executive Director Mr Blessing Akinlosotu stated that the exercise was conducted in full compliance with the Public Service Rules and the Commission’s manpower development framework.
He explained that the process was transparent and merit-based, with promotion vacancies determined by NCC’s organisational structure and manpower plan to ensure efficiency and equity across all staff cadres.
Akinlosotu commended the Commission’s management for institutionalising a fair evaluation system, which he described as a model for other government agencies to emulate.
