The Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), Dr Mustapha Abdullahi, has met with the Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, to advance the Renewed Hope Solarisation Project, which aims to power schools across the country with renewable energy.
The meeting, held at the Ministry of Education headquarters, focused on providing reliable solar energy solutions to educational institutions in all 36 states and the FCT. The initiative aims to enhance energy sustainability in schools, improve learning environments, and increase operational efficiency.
According to the ECN, the project will upgrade existing power infrastructure in schools and support the government’s broader commitment to sustainable development.
The collaboration underscores the shared vision of the ECN and the Ministry of Education to harness clean energy as a catalyst for national development, particularly in enhancing the education sector.
