The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi, SAN and the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang have jointly pledged ₦75 million to the University of Jos.
The donations were made during the University’s Distinguished Alumni Lecture held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Naraguta Campus. Chief Fagbemi delivered the keynote lecture titled “The Nigerian Justice System in a Digital Age: Opportunities, Challenges and the Road Ahead.”
Chief Fagbemi committed ₦50 million to support the Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) preparations and the Alumni Building Project. In comparison, Governor Mutfwang pledged ₦25 million, ₦20 million for the Alumni Centre Project and ₦5 million for Law students.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof Tanko Ishaya, expressed gratitude to both donors, describing their gesture as “a boost to the University’s vision for digital transformation and academic excellence.”
