Prof Francis Aba Uba, VC, Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO)
The Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO), has partnered with Aalborg University (AAU), Denmark, on a groundbreaking three-year research project targeting the Blood-Brain Barrier’s resistance to treatment in nervous system disorders.
The collaboration, formalised through the Erasmus+ KA171 2025 Award, was presented to FUHSO Vice-Chancellor, Prof Francis Aba Uba, by Prof Adelaja Akinlolu, Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies, and Prof Joseph Okopi, Director of Research & Innovation.
Uba described the award as “a new dawn for FUHSO” and praised the University’s growing international reputation for research excellence. He also directed that commendation letters be sent to the grant recipients, highlighting the importance of global collaboration.
Akinlolu acknowledged the vital support of Aalborg University’s International Office, emphasising the project’s potential to advance innovative treatments and strengthen FUHSO’s research capabilities.
