The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has partnered with Jubaili Agrotec Limited to train students on modern seed planting techniques and sustainable agricultural practices.
The sensitisation session, held at the Centre for Community-Based Farming Scheme (COBFAS), brought together staff, students, and industry experts to explore innovations in seed technology and crop production.
Representing the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof Olawale Dairo, commended Jubaili Agrotec for its collaboration and donation of improved seeds to the university. He said the partnership would help bridge the gap between theory and practice while advancing FUNAAB’s goal of driving agricultural innovation through industry linkages.
COBFAS Director, Prof Kazeem Bello, said the initiative would equip students with hands-on experience in modern farming practices, preparing them to contribute to food security and sustainable growth.
Jubaili Agrotec’s Seed Director, Mr Tijani Yusuf, showcased improved hybrid seeds and agricultural products designed to enhance productivity and disease resistance. He pledged the company’s readiness to support research, training and technology transfer in partnership with FUNAAB.
