FUTA Produces 240 First-Class Graduates

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) will hold its 36th convocation ceremony to award 240 of the 2,747 graduating students a first-class degree.


The best graduating student with a 4.98 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) will also deliver a speech on Friday, November 14, 2025.


Prof. Adenike Oladiji, the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the institution, said the convocation lecture titled ‘Strategies and Tactics for Solving Skills Challenges in Nigeria: The Roles of Government, Institutions and the Youth’ will be delivered by Prince Adetokunbo Kayode (SAN), a Former Attorney General and Minister of Justice and Former Minister of Labour of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.


The Vice-Chancellor mentioned that the institution’s administration has built its foundation on inclusive growth, global competitiveness, financial sustainability, and academic excellence.


Speaking further, she appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving a teaching hospital for the university and awarding it a ₦1 billion grant for agricultural purposes.
