Participants at the opening of IBBUL’s 4th Faculty of Natural Sciences Annual Conference (FONSAC 2025)
Prof. Mohammed Hadi Sulaiman, the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBUL), Nasarawa State, has reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to improving scientific research and innovation for Nigeria’s sustainable development.
The Vice-Chancellor, represented by Prof. Muhammad Salihu Niworu, the deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), made this statement at the opening ceremony of the 4th Faculty of Natural Sciences Annual Conference (FONSAC 2025), themed ‘Advancing Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development in Nigeria.’
Sulaiman described the conference as timely, as Nigeria’s future success hinges on embracing technology-driven growth and innovative solutions.
In her keynote address, Prof. Suwaiba Sa’adu Ahmed, the Minister of State for Education, represented by Prof. Oluwole Morenikeji, the former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at the Federal University of Technology Minna (FUTMinna), Niger State, congratulated IBBUL on its infrastructural development.
She highlighted that Nigeria’s development will no longer rely on oil but on science, innovation, and empowered youths.
