IITA presented certificates to officials from the Ministry of Agriculture in Gabon upon completion of the training
The IITA-CGIAR participated in the launch of the 2025/2026 Mozambique agricultural campaign, held on November 13, 2025.
The Institute, which has been Mozambique’s partner, has contributed immensely to improving its agricultural production and productivity.
During the launch, IITA highlighted its capacity to develop new varieties of sesame, soybean, and cowpea seeds.
It further explained to Eduardo Mariamo Abdula, the Governor of Nampula Province, the impact on farmers’ lives through partnerships that facilitate access to seeds, the sale of agricultural produce, and improved diets by promoting healthy eating habits.
In addition, the institute highlighted increased production as the solution to increase wealth and reduce poverty in Mozambique.
