Jigawa Government Approves Education Contracts

Alhaji Sagiru Musa Ahmad, Jigawa State Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture


The Jigawa State Executive Council has approved contracts worth over ₦28 billion for education projects.


Alhaji Sagiru Musa Ahmad, the Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture, in a press briefing, also revealed that the government has allocated ₦14.23 billion to purchase equipment for technical and vocational schools in the state.


Ahmad elaborated that the funds will cover the construction of health centres, auditoriums, workshops, and hostels.


Furthermore, the commissioner stated that the government will release ₦830 million to buy 10 2020 models of Toyota Hilux and 50 Hunter Motorcycles.


According to Ahmad, the government is contributing to citizens’ protection through the purchase of these motor vehicles.
