Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has inaugurated the construction of a new polytechnic in Gaya town, reassuring his administration’s commitment to improving education across the state.
Speaking at the foundation-laying ceremony, Yusuf described the institution as a fulfilment of his campaign promises and a strategic move to produce skilled professionals to drive Kano’s development.
He assured residents that the government would fast-track processes to commence complete academic activities as soon as possible.
The governor also called on the public to support the initiative by remaining law-abiding and responsible.
Alhaji Ali Gaya, the Emir of Gaya, praised the governor’s vision, noting that the new polytechnic would significantly enhance educational opportunities in the area.
The event drew senior government officials, traditional leaders, and community members.
