The Chairman of Keystone Bank Limited, Lady (Dr.) Ada Chukwudozie has presented cash awards to outstanding young scientists and innovators at the 7th Energy, Science, Technology, and Innovation Conference and Exhibition (FAPSCON 2025), held at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Igbariam, Anambra State.
The initiative, which also recognised “Girls in Tech” innovators, is tied to Chukwudozie’s commitment to youth empowerment, education and gender inclusion in technology.
In her keynote address, she urged Nigerian youths to embrace homegrown innovation and leverage indigenous creativity to drive national development. “Nigeria must believe in its own capacity to build world-class solutions,” she said.
She also encouraged women to pursue leadership in science and technology, noting that “the future of innovation belongs to every determined woman who dares to create.”
The conference, themed “Leveraging Indigenous Technology and Recalibrating National Priorities for Achievable Tech Innovations and SDGs in Nigeria,” attracted academics, policymakers, and industry leaders, including COOU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha and Engr—Dr Chidi Nwafor, who delivered the guest lecture.
