Education experts in Kwara State have emphasised the importance of credible and reliable data as the foundation for all reforms in the sector, ensuring effective planning, sustainable growth, and enhanced service delivery.
The call was made at a stakeholders’ engagement meeting with Education Management Information System (EMIS) officials from the 16 local government areas, held at the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development headquarters in Ilorin.
Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr Lawal Olohungbebe, noted that reforms without credible data amount to “guesswork and poor policy direction.”
He added that the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration is committed to ensuring every education policy in the state is backed by reliable statistics for maximum impact.
