ATC Nigeria and ProFuturo Foundation have joined forces to improve digital education in Nigeria. They are partnering with the Kukah Centre to distribute special kits that include computers, tablets, routers, and projectors to schools. This move is designed to help students learn more effectively with the aid of technology. The project will commence with 11 schools in Kano, Kebbi, and Taraba states, serving over 5,600 students and 34 teachers, even in areas with limited internet access.
ATC Nigeria’s CEO, Pieter Van Der Westhuizen, stated that the project will equip children with the digital skills necessary for the future. ProFuturo’s General Manager, Magdalena Brier, added that the goal is to give vulnerable children better learning opportunities.
This partnership is part of ATC Nigeria’s Digital Communities programme, which supports digital education, adult training, and healthcare initiatives. The initiative shows a strong commitment to closing Nigeria’s digital education gap.
