The President of the MAAUN Group of Universities, Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has sent condolences to Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, founder of Baze University, over the death of his brother, Alhaji Mouftah Baba-Ahmed.
In a message on Tuesday, Gwarzo described the late Mouftah as a patriot and respected public servant whose life was dedicated to serving Nigeria. He praised him as a man of strong character who combined Islamic and Western knowledge to mentor many and contribute to national growth.
The late Mouftah Baba-Ahmed held key roles in institutions such as the National Electric Power Authority (NEPA), NAL Bank, and the African Investment Corporation. According to Gwarzo, his leadership and professionalism left a lasting mark on both public and private sectors.
He prayed for Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest and give the Baba-Ahmed family the strength to bear the loss, noting that the nation has lost an exemplary figure.
