Madonna University Delegation Pays Courtesy Visit to NUC Executive Secretary
A delegation from Madonna University, Elele, Rivers State, recently paid a courtesy visit to Prof Abdulahi Yusufu Ribadu, Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), at the Commission’s Abuja headquarters.
Led by Sir Chris Chioma, Chairman of Madonna University’s Governing Council, the delegation included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Martin Anagboso, the Okija Campus Administrator, Rev. Fr. Cyriacus Emedolu, and the Public Relations Officer, Mr Chima Achu.
Ribadu welcomed the delegation, commending Madonna University for its long-standing commitment to academic excellence, integrity, and moral discipline, founded by Very Rev. Fr. Prof Emmanuel M.P. Edeh, OFR.
Chioma congratulated the Executive Secretary on his appointment and conveyed the university community’s goodwill, wishing him success.
Anagboso acknowledged NUC’s selection of Madonna University for the TETFund Scholarship for Academic Staff (TSAS) programme, pledging continued commitment to teaching, research, and community engagement.
The delegation formally invited Ribadu to the university’s convocation ceremony on November 28, 2025. Discussions also focused on deepening collaboration between NUC and Madonna University, with both parties reaffirming their dedication to enhancing the quality and sustainability of higher education in Nigeria.
