NASENI hosts entrepreneurs, startup founders, and investors at Abuja’s largest Founders’ Mixer
The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) brought together entrepreneurs, startup founders, and investors at Abuja’s largest Founders’ Mixer, aiming to accelerate Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem.
Held at NASENI headquarters, the event showcased the agency’s 3Cs principle — Creation, Collaboration, and Commercialisation — and provided a platform for networking, idea exchange, and potential partnerships. Engr. Dr Anas Balarabe Yazid, Special Adviser to NASENI’s Executive Vice Chairman on Research Commercialisation, urged participants to align technology and business perspectives to ensure innovations address societal challenges.
“Design your products to solve customers’ problems,” he said, encouraging startups to leverage NASENI’s resources and expertise.
NASENI Innovation Hub Programme Manager, Woka Philips-Ayinu, highlighted the agency’s support for innovators through initiatives such as InnoGov, DELTHER, DELTA-2, the Innovate Naija Challenge, and upcoming programmes, including Future Makers, NASENI Xceler8, Reverse Japa, and the NASENI Incubation Scheme.
Participants described the mixer as a rare opportunity to gain insight into NASENI’s intervention programmes, connect with peers, and explore collaboration. The event featured fireside chats, networking sessions, pitches, and interactive activities, all designed to foster innovation, strengthen the entrepreneurial community, and translate ideas into viable market solutions.
NASENI said it will continue hosting such initiatives to empower young innovators and support Nigeria’s drive for technological and economic growth.
