The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has responded to an advertisement by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) that criticised technical reforms in the country.
The advertisement, titled ‘Redeeming Polytechnic Education from Persistent Existential Threats,’ was placed in the Daily Trust Newspaper on Thursday, July 24, 2025. Responding to the publication, the NBTE reaffirmed its transformation of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and commitment to innovation and quality assurance. Highlighting its ongoing reforms, the NBTE said it has ended the use of fake documentation during accreditation visits and borrowed equipment through artificial intelligence.
