Samuel Hezekiah Egburonu
Samuel Hezekiah Egburonu, Publisher of NewsOrient Network and member of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, is among 942 aspirants recently called to the Nigerian Bar as Barristers and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
The Call to Bar ceremony took place on Tuesday, November 25 2025, at the Body of Benchers Complex, Abuja. Hon. Justice Olukayode Arewoola, chairman of the Body of Benchers, urged the new lawyers to uphold the Constitution, defend the rule of law, and champion justice in all spheres of their practice.
The event attracted top judicial and legal figures, including the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice K. M. O. Kekere-Ekun; the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi; and NBA President, Mazi Afam Osigwe. Also present were Olorogun Albert Akpomudje, vice-chairman of the Body of Benchers, and Daniel M. Tela Esq, secretary of the Body of Benchers.
Other distinguished attendees included Prof. Isa Hayatu Chiroma, Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, Emeka Ngige, chairman of the Council of Legal Education, and Aderonke O. Osho, secretary of the Council of Legal Education.
