As part of efforts to strengthen the fight against drug abuse on Nigerian campuses and create a safer and healthier environment for students and staff, a team from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Keffi Area Command, recently paid a visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Prof. Sa’adatu Hassan Liman.
The meeting, held on June 18, 2025, took place in the University Council Chambers. Prof. Liman thanked NDLEA for their ongoing support and stressed NSUK’s strict no-drug policy. She said working together will help both NSUK and NDLEA create better plans to keep the university free from drugs. NDLEA Area Commander, Mr. Michael Bitrus Emmanuel, stated that the visit aims to strengthen the agency’s presence at NSUK and requested the university’s assistance in combating drug trafficking. The Vice-Chancellor and team were invited to the United Nations International Day Against Drug Abuse event on June 26.
