NYSC DG Pledges Zero Tolerance for Data Manipulation

Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, DG of NYSC

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, has reiterated the scheme’s zero tolerance for fraud and data manipulation in the mobilisation of graduates for national service.
Speaking at the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Pre-Mobilisation Workshop held in Abuja, Nafiu stated that the NYSC remains committed to maintaining the integrity and transparency of its mobilisation process, which has continued to earn the public’s trust.
He said the workshop’s theme, “Enhancing Data Integrity for Credible Mobilisation for National Service in Contemporary Times,” reflects the challenges posed by unauthorised institutions, data inconsistencies, and cyber-related threats.
“Every Nigerian graduate who wears the NYSC uniform must be genuinely qualified and properly verified,” Nafiu emphasised, warning that sanctions would apply to any individual or institution involved in unethical practices.
Mrs Rachel Idaewor, Director of Corps Mobilisation, urged stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and uphold professionalism. At the same time, JAMB Registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, revealed that 17 persons were currently facing prosecution for offences related to admission and mobilisation fraud.
