Ogun State, Bosun Tijani Foundation Launches AI Training

Bosun Tijani

The Ogun State Government and the Bosun Tijani Foundation have started a six-month Artificial Intelligence (AI) Fellowship Programme to train young Nigerians in AI skills. The programme will teach both theory and practical applications of AI to help prepare Nigerian developers for global tech jobs.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani, who said the programme will support the next generation of Nigerian tech talent. All selected participants will receive a monthly allowance during the training.

The programme is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to close the digital skills gap in Nigeria. Interested applicants must verify their National Identification Number (NIN) and complete the application at aifellowship.ogunstate.gov.ng. This is one of several programmes launched to help young Nigerians gain tech skills, including AI academies, job training, and international partnerships.
