The Osun State College of Health Technology in Ilesa may soon be upgraded to a polytechnic. This was revealed by the new Chairman of the school’s Governing Council, Abayomi Adegoke, during his first day in office. Adegoke stated that one of his primary objectives is to upgrade the school from a monotechnic to a full-fledged polytechnic. He promised to work hard with honesty and urged staff, students, and the community to support the plan. He also stated that he will focus on enhancing the welfare of staff and students, emphasising that their well-being is crucial to the institution’s growth.
The school’s Provost, Dr Lateef Raheem, welcomed the idea and said the management is ready to support the board. He thanked Governor Ademola Adeleke for appointing someone with great experience to lead the college. The new council chairman said everyone must work together to move the college forward.
