Osun State University, Osogbo, has announced an opening for a Post-Doctoral Researcher under the Modelling for Decisions in Dynamic (MoDD) Africa project funded by the Wellcome Trust through the Ifakara Health Institute.
The project seeks to build a network of African modellers with expertise in geospatial analysis, epidemiology and health systems, with a focus on malaria control in Nigeria, Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
According to the university, the post-doctoral fellow will design and implement modelling frameworks linking malaria and climate data, collaborate with health agencies, and strengthen institutional capacity through training and mentorship.
Applicants must hold a PhD in a quantitative discipline such as biostatistics, geostatistics, or infectious disease modelling, with strong proficiency in R, Python, or Stata. Experience in malaria research and publication in peer-reviewed journals will be an added advantage.
