CP Bello M. Sani, Kebbi State Commissioner of Police
The Kebbi State Police Command has intensified security measures at the NYSC orientation camp in Basaura, Jega LGA, to ensure a safe environment for corps members.
Commissioner of Police Bello M. Sani disclosed the development during a visit to the camp, where he addressed security operatives stationed within the facility. He directed them to work closely with other agencies, maintain coordinated formations, and stay alert at all times.
He emphasised the need for absolute diligence and firm response to any suspicious activity around the camp, noting that security personnel have been deployed in large numbers to provide round-the-clock protection.
To further strengthen the security architecture, the CP held a closed-door meeting with the Commissioner for Internal Security, Alhaji Haliru Wasagu, the Governor’s Security Adviser, Colonel Hassan Ribah (rtd.), and a Nigerian Army commanding officer.
The NYSC camp, previously located in Dakin Gari, was moved to Basaura due to security concerns, with authorities assuring that the new location offers a more secure environment for orientation activities.
