Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, awarded an honorary Doctorate in Business Administration by Rome Business School Nigeria
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been awarded an honorary Doctorate in Business Administration by Rome Business School Nigeria. The honour was conferred during the institution’s 2025 Graduation Ceremony held in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Founder of the Rome Business School, Prof Antonio Ragusa, said the award recognises Sanwo-Olu’s leadership, public service, and contributions to Lagos State’s development. He commended the governor for driving economic growth, improving governance standards, and promoting education and social progress.
In his remarks, Sanwo-Olu reassured that his administration’s focus remains on expanding access to quality, affordable education. He noted that Lagos now has three state-owned universities, following the establishment of two new institutions within the last six years, alongside ongoing investments in public school infrastructure.
Describing the award as a validation of purposeful leadership, Sanwo-Olu urged graduates to embrace innovation and adaptability as they enter a rapidly changing job market. He said the value they bring to society will depend on their mindset, discipline, and character rather than on academic credentials alone.
