147 UNILAG Students Awarded Scholarships by Emmanuel’s Table
On Friday, November 21, 2025, 147 indigent students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) were awarded scholarships by Emmanuel’s Table. The programme, launched eight years ago with just four female students, has grown to support over 100 scholars annually.
This year’s beneficiaries include 47 returning students from the 2024/2025 session and 100 new recipients, all selected by UNILAG’s Counselling Unit and vetted by Emmanuel’s Table team. The scholarship covers tuition and other mandatory fees for the 2025/2026 academic session, as well as a stipend for living expenses.
Board Chair Mrs Oluwatobi Boshoro urged students to maintain a 2.1 CGPA or higher to continue receiving support, emphasising that the programme is not just financial aid but also an act of empowerment.
Beneficiaries were also introduced to internship and Graduate Management Trainee opportunities with Stanbic IBTC Group, providing avenues for professional growth before graduation.
Mrs Janet Aregbesola, Head of the Counselling Unit, commended Emmanuel’s Table for its consistent commitment to supporting students, highlighting the positive impact on both academic performance and career readiness.
