Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has congratulated one of its former students, Oba Ishola Oyetunde Jokotola II, on his official installation as the Oludo of Ido-Osun. The event took place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, and was carried out by Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
Oba Jokotola studied Geography at UNIOSUN’s Okuku Campus. The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Odunayo Adebooye, led a team to honour the new king at a grand ceremony held at the palace square in Ido-Osun. In his speech, Professor Adebooye called the installation a proud moment for the school. He said Oba Jokotola’s rise reflects the leadership and service values taught at UNIOSUN.
The Vice-Chancellor also thanked Governor Adeleke for choosing credible traditional leaders and promised that the university will support the king’s efforts in community development and youth empowerment.
