The leadership of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, led by Vice Chancellor Prof Adamu Ahmed, paid a courtesy visit on Tuesday to the Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, at the Government House in Katsina.
The delegation included the Executive Director of the Institute for Agricultural Research (IAR), Prof Ado Yusuf, as well as the heads of NAPRI and NAERLS. The visit aimed to strengthen institutional collaboration and explore partnerships in agricultural research and innovation.
During the meeting, the ABU team showcased the university’s ongoing research projects and capacity-building initiatives that could support the state’s agricultural transformation and food security goals.
Governor Radda, an alumnus of ABU with a PhD in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology, commended the university’s contributions to national development and expressed readiness to deepen collaboration.
