Aptech Nigeria and India’s Scope Global Skills University (SGSU) have launched a 36-month cross-border Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) in Information Technology, focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The programme aims to strengthen Nigeria’s digital workforce by combining industry-led training with international academic exposure.
Students will spend the first 18 months at Aptech centres across Nigeria learning core skills, including Python, Java, C programming, SQL Server, and AI-driven web development.
The next 18 months will be spent at SGSU’s Bhopal campus in India, covering advanced topics such as deep learning, computer vision, data science with MongoDB, and a final capstone project.
Kallol Mukherjee, Aptech’s Executive VP of International Business, said the degree bridges Nigeria’s skills gap while providing a globally recognised qualification. SGSU Vice Chancellor Vijay Singh added that the programme offers practical immersion alongside academic grounding.
Targeted at recent secondary school graduates, the initiative is approved by India’s University Grants Commission and prepares students for immediate employment or postgraduate studies.
