Babcock Lecturer Named Among World’s Top 2% Scientists

Dr Adebowale Adetayo, a lecturer in the Department of Information Resources Management at Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, has been listed among the world’s top two per cent of scientists for the second consecutive year.

The recognition, published by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier, is based on the 2025 global data update from Elsevier’s Scopus database. The ranking identifies the most influential researchers across 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields using metrics such as citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted h-index, and composite scores with and without self-citations.

Adetayo described the honour as a humbling validation of years of hard work, collaboration, and dedication to impactful research.

“This recognition is not just about numbers; it reflects meaningful contributions that advance knowledge in my field,” he said. “I am deeply grateful to my collaborators, mentors and God for the strength and inspiration to keep pushing boundaries.”
