Benpoly & Partners Begin Free Medical Healthcare Outreach in Ugbokolo
Benue State Polytechnic (Benpoly), in partnership with OCMM International and supported by Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH), has launched a free medical outreach in Ugbokolo and Okpokwu LGA.
Held from November 2 to 8, the initiative provides free consultations, lab tests, eye and dental care, medications, and counselling to staff, students, and the broader community.
Rector Arc. Dr Henry Ojobo said the outreach reflects the institution’s commitment to accessible healthcare, acknowledging the contributions of BSUTH and OCMM International in making it possible.
Dr Paul Odumu, Lead Consultant of OCMM International, emphasised the importance of collaboration among government, institutions, and NGOs in addressing Nigeria’s healthcare challenges.
Commissioning the new Benpoly Healthcare Centre, President-General of Okonobo, Hon. Peter Adah, hailed Ojobo as a “community builder” and pledged local support for the Polytechnic’s initiatives.
The outreach aligns with Governor Rev. Fr. Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia’s vision of improving healthcare access across Benue State.
