Chrisland University in Abeokuta has teamed up with the NDLEA in Ogun State to fight drug abuse among students. The new NDLEA Commandant, Tijjani Rabe, visited the school to discuss ways in which both parties can work together more effectively.
During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor and the Commandant discussed plans to share information, undertake joint actions, and conduct awareness campaigns. They also agreed to hold seminars and workshops to teach students and staff about the dangers of drug use. Chrisland University also wants to help with NDLEA’s rehab and counselling efforts, so addicts can get better and return to everyday life.
Prof. Rabe praised Chrisland for being the only school in Ogun State to build such a strong partnership with NDLEA since he took over in May 2024. He promised to keep working closely with the school. The meeting had many top school officials, deans, and security staff in attendance, showing full support for the fight against drug abuse.
