Elder (Dr) Adebola Olubanjo Donates Health Centre to McPherson University
Dr Adebola Olubanjo has donated a fully equipped health facility to McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State. The Adebola Olubanjo Health Centre was commissioned amid celebrations, marking a major boost to the institution’s healthcare capacity.
The modern complex features a theatre, consulting rooms, offices, male and female wards, an X-ray room and dedicated antenatal and prenatal units. According to the university, the centre will serve both students and residents of 14 neighbouring communities.
Representing the Visitor to the University, Rev. Dr Sam Aboyeji, his wife, Rev. Mrs Olabisi Aboyeji, praised Olubanjo’s long-standing commitment to humanity. Speaking on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof Francis Igbasan, Prof Kenneth Nwoko described the facility as a strategic asset that strengthens healthcare delivery and deepens the university’s community impact.
University leaders also highlighted Olubanjo’s years of service on the Board of Trustees and Governing Council, noting his role in mobilising resources and supporting long-term institutional growth.
Board Chairman Engr. (Pastor) Kunle Allen commended the donor’s consistency, calling his contributions integral to McPherson’s development.
In his remarks, Olubanjo described the project as a collective effort inspired by faith and service, expressing hope that the centre would evolve into a full teaching hospital and a hub for healing and ministry.
