Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan Ekiti, received members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly Committee on Education, Science and Technology on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. The lawmakers visited the school to inspect ongoing projects and verify how government funds were being utilised.
The Rector, Dr Sunday Osinkolu Ajeigbe, welcomed the visitors and spoke about significant achievements, including the recent approval of 19 new academic programmes by NBTE. He also mentioned the ongoing construction of hostels and other important projects aimed at making the Polytechnic a top learning centre. However, he raised concerns about a lack of electricity from the national grid, poor health facilities, and the need for fencing to boost security. The visit concluded with a tour of the school’s facilities, which was seen as a step toward providing better support for technical education in the state.
