Former Edo governorship candidate, Patience Ndidi Ofure Key, has praised the appointment of Professor Eunice Eboserehimen Omonzejie as the new Vice Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, describing it as a breakthrough for the school, Edo State, and Nigeria.
Key, an alumnus of AAU and former Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) presidential aspirant, said Omonzejie’s long years of scholarship, particularly in French, Francophone African literature, and gender studies, reflect the kind of leadership Nigerian universities need.
She added that the milestone sends a strong message to young women on campuses that leadership is achieved through preparation and purpose, not permission.
According to her, the appointment is not just a personal victory for Professor Omonzejie but also a source of pride for AAU graduates and a step forward for gender inclusion in higher education leadership across Nigeria.
