The Federal Government (FG) has launched the Tertiary Institution Staff Support Fund (TISSF) through the Federal Ministry of Education to provide academic and non-academic staff with access to loans of up to ₦10 million.
The loan, capped at 33.3 per cent of tertiary institutions’ staff’s annual salary, is set up to improve the staff’s professional and welfare development. Mrs Folasade Boriowo, the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Federal Ministry of Education, in a statement on Sunday, July 27, 2025, said the initiative is a step to reinforce Nigeria’s education system.
