The federal government (FG) has announced the opening of the Network for Oncology Research in Sub-Saharan Africa (NORA) Summer School 2025 in Abuja.
Dr Adekunle Salako, Minister of State for Health, noted that the summer school is a show of the federal government’s dedication to its cancer control plan.
Salako explained that the ministry aims to promote national research and innovation, while soliciting support to turn cancer care into valuable insights.
Speaking at the 2025 International Cancer Week (ICW) organised by the National Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment (NICRAT) in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, the minister said the federal government is working to reform the National Cancer Health Fund.
