First Bank of Nigeria team, led by Mrs_ Abimbola Kunle-Ajayi, paid a courtesy visit to the Management of YABATECH
First Bank is set to build a modern digital centre at the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Lagos, as part of its commitment to supporting technology-based self-service banking outlets in Nigerian tertiary institutions.
Mrs Abimbola Kunle-Ajayi, Head of Branch Operations Services Group (Lagos and West), who led the bank’s team to visit management, disclosed that the initiative aligns with the bank’s goal of strengthening financial inclusion and meeting the needs of young people and tech-savvy customers.
Describing YABATECH as a premier tertiary institution, she noted, “The world is moving fast towards digitalisation, artificial intelligence and self-service banking, and as a bank, we launched our Digital Experience Centres in 2021, immediately after COVID-19, to position ourselves as a leading modern financial brand.”
She added that the bank already has eight digital experience Centres in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and the University of Lagos.
