The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has introduced a new transport service, “Yayi Buses,” to facilitate movement within its campus.
The minibuses were donated by Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola and began operations this week. Each vehicle carries eight passengers, with fares ranging from ₦100 to ₦300 depending on the destination.
Chairman of the university’s Mini Bus Management Committee, Mr Rasaq Sotonwa, said the fare structure was designed to remain affordable for students.
Some students welcomed the development, describing the service as more convenient and less costly than other available options.
The university stated that the new buses are expected to enhance mobility and alleviate the transport challenges faced by students and staff.
