Tomisin Edu-Falade, chairperson, 2025 Itaogbolu Day and Fundraising Ceremonies
During the 2025 Itaogbolu Day and Fundraising Ceremonies in Akure North, Ondo State, Tomisin Edu-Falade, Chairperson of the event, announced that her Foundation will continue sponsoring the community’s best graduating students to study any course of their choice at Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State.
Edu-Falade, who praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for national development efforts and Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for sustaining peace in Ondo communities, highlighted education as a key focus of her Foundation. She noted that six students have already benefited from the initiative and pledged to extend support to more youths in the years to come.
“Every year, the Foundation awards a full scholarship to the best graduating students,” she said, emphasising that education remains central to empowering Itaogbolu’s talented youth.
The event also featured addresses from Governor Aiyedatiwa, who promised further development projects and the completion of the Akure-Itaogbolu/Iju-Ikere road to improve safety and connectivity, and Oba Idowu Faborode, the Ogbolu of Itaogbolu, who called for a community resurgence based on education, welfare, government intervention and land development.
