The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has prosecuted a total of 110 people for examination malpractice.
According to the examination body, 70 people were prosecuted between 2019 and 2024, and 10 people were convicted. Recently, JAMB mentioned that it was preparing to prosecute over 60 individuals for misconduct during the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). It also disclosed during its policy meeting on July 8, 2025, that 200 UTME candidates were arrested in 2019 for result falsification and other misconduct. JAMB added that it has reduced examination malpractice and corruption through its computer-based tests in the country.
