Suzuki Hideo, Japan’s Ambassador to Nigeria, has donated 183 books to the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID). Hideo emphasised that the future of Nigeria depends on the development and global engagement of the youth.
In his remarks at the book donation ceremony in Abuja, sponsored by the Read Japan project under the Tokyo Foundation in collaboration with the Nippon Foundation, he urged Nigerian youths to pursue personal growth. The ambassador emphasised the importance of education, international exposure, and curiosity, as they improve national transformation. He stressed that the donation signifies a strong relationship between Japan and UNIMAID.
