Lagos State College of Health Technology (LASCOHET) matriculates 768 students for 2025/2026 academic session
The Lagos State College of Health Technology (LASCOHET) has admitted 768 students for the 2025/2026 academic session and urges them to uphold high professional and ethical standards.
The charge was given by the Lagos State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Tolani Sule, at the institution’s matriculation ceremony. He said a strong and reliable health workforce begins with discipline, integrity and compassion during training.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Adeniran Kasali, the commissioner advised the new students to remain focused and to serve as ambassadors for the college throughout their studies.
Mr Sule said Lagos State continued to set the pace in healthcare and education, making its tertiary institutions among the most competitive in Nigeria.
The Provost of LASCOHET, Professor Raheem Akewushola, told the students that success in the health sector required more than academic performance. He said character and integrity were central to professional certification.
He emphasised the importance of empathy, diligence, and confidentiality, particularly for students in health information management, who are stewards of patient data.
Professor Akewushola added that commitment to hard work, attention to detail, and precision would be critical as the students progress through what he described as a demanding training course.
