Grooming Centre Nigeria, a microfinance institution (MFI), has announced that it provides university research grants to indigent students in both private and public tertiary institutions nationwide. The MFI stated that it prioritises research projects tailored to addressing societal problems and alleviating poverty in Nigeria.
Mr. Egulefu Chikezie, the institution’s head of special projects, said this year’s application for the research grant will commence soon. He mentioned that while the grant is open to students of all ages, genders, religions, and ethnic backgrounds, their research must centre on economic areas like inclusive finance, rural development, social enterprise, and poverty alleviation.
