Nasarawa State will host the 5th edition of the Federal Education Sector Games (FEDUGAM) from August 4 to 10, 2025, in Lafia. The announcement came during a visit by a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Education to the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Kwanta Yakubu.
The two-member delegation, comprising Consultant Okeyinka Matthew and Technical Assistant Anthony Okoro, met with the commissioner to prepare for the national event. Yakubu thanked the Federal Ministry for choosing Nasarawa again, noting that the state previously hosted the 2nd edition in 2017.
He said the state is ready to support the games, adding that it reflects the government’s commitment to sports and unity. The event will feature 15 education sector agencies competing in various sports to promote teamwork and fitness. Souvenir kits were presented to officials to mark the official hosting.
