The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund) has developed a job portal to provide students with an avenue to access financial assistance to repay their student loans.
Through the portal, the agency will connect students with employment opportunities in the public and private sectors in Nigeria and abroad. Akintunde Sawyerr, NELFund’s Managing Director and Chief Executive, stated that the initiative aims to provide students with economic stability. He emphasised that the organisation will address tertiary institutions that failed to refund students who had already paid their school fees before NELFund disbursed funds to their schools.
